Go for a PhD Buddy

I'd say an MBA- those are the dual degrees I'm going for, if not even a third like a MPP (MA of Public Policy). Even if you don't want to own your own business, I feel that an MBA demonstrates a thorough understanding of Economics. Berkeley's Haas Business School offers an interesting ten-month long MA degree called an "MFE, MA in Financial Engineering." If you want to go into the investment world, and are decent at math, I'd suggest the MFE.

Not sure why you'd get an MA in Econ and stop there. That just makes is seem like you're not smart enough to get a PhD. But anyway, an MBA is one of the few master's degrees that actually means anything in terms of getting a job, since it's a useful and a "terminal" degree.
